MTC CENTRE OF TIMBER
EXPERTISE
Introduction
The Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) has set up a Centre of Timber Expertise (CTE)
with the following objectives:

To gather industry
experts, who have proven experience, expertise and knowledge in their
respective fields, under one umbrella and to offer their services to the
industry as consultants.

To serve as a referral
point for the industry should they require expertise help or consultancy
services.
Services offered by the CTE
The services of consultants are available to all Malaysian companies.

Fees and Agreement
Consultants are required to provide consultancy services to members of the
timber industry at a commensurable rate. The proposed average rate for
consultancy fee is between RM 400 and RM 800 per man-day. However, the rate is
only for reference purpose and final acceptance is solely based on negotiations
between consultants and clients.
All negotiation on project
terms and conditions including fees will be conducted between the clients and
the consultants. MTC is not liable for any disputes or disagreement between the
consultants and the clients.
Disclaimer
The CTE is a service provided by MTC to the timber industry, thus there will
be no commissions or fees collected. MTC is not liable for any payment to the
consultants registered with the CTE, including travelling and transportation.
MTC is also not responsible for any disputes between the consultants and their
clients or potential clients.
