East Asia Business Exhibition, 10-14 December 2005

The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) is organizing the East Asia Business Exhibition (EABEX 2005) from 10-14 December 2005 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. EABEX 2005 will be opened by the Prime Minister of Malaysia on 10 December 2005. The exhibition is being held in conjunction with the inaugural East Asia Summit and the 11th ASEAN Summit.

With a theme "Forging East Asian Business Synergies", the objectives of the exhibition are:

  • To highlight and showcase Malaysian products and services to foreign business visitors from the East Asia countries
  • To provide opportunities for business networking and cooperation between Malaysian companies, foreign buyers and exhibitors from East Asia
  • To expand private sector collaboration and foster close partnership and business linkages within East Asian business communities in technology sharing, innovations and networking
  • To strengthen and enhance opportunities for cooperation in trade and investment among East Asian countries

The exhibition will showcase a wide range of products and services under five clusters:

  • Lifestyle
  • Product and Services
  • Malaysian Brand Names
  • International Country Pavilions (ASEAN Countries and Japan, China, India, Korea, Australia, New Zealand)
  • Corporate Pavilion

In conjunction with the exhibition, MATRADE is also organizing an Incoming Buying Mission for selected foreign buyers for business meetings with Malaysian companies.
