MTC Marketing Seminar 2017: “Global Timber Market Outlook and Export Opportunities for Malaysian Timber Products and Furniture”
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

In conjunction with its 25th anniversary, MTC will be organising the MTC Marketing Seminar 2017: “Global Timber Market Outlook and Export Opportunities for Malaysian Timber Products and Furniture” at Hotel InterContinental Kuala Lumpur on 18 April 2017.

The objectives of the seminar are:

1. To update industry members on the market outlook and export opportunities for Malaysian timber and timber products in China, India, Europe, South Africa, the Philippines and USA; and

2. To provide a platform for industry members to network, share ideas and experiences in these markets.

Taking into account the borderless world we are operating in today, MTC has invited speakers from both traditional and emerging markets. MTC will be flying in speakers from China, India, Europe, South Africa, the Philippines and USA who are actively involved in the timber trade and industry in their respective country and have vast experiences in their area of specialisation.  We hope their presentations will keep our industry members abreast of market changes, challenges and opportunities in order to make better informed decisions in times of economic uncertainties. For more information, please refer to the programme and registration form attached.

Following MTC Marketing Seminar 2017, Clinic sessions will be organised in MTC office, Kuala Lumpur the following day on 19 April 2017 to facilitate industry members in having a one-on-one consultation session with the six invited international speakers.

  • For timber industry members, participation is free-of-charge.
  • For non-industry participants, a fee of RM150.00/head (subject to seats availability) is chargeable.

As seats availability is limited, participation would be based on a first-come, first-served basis.

The closing date for registration for both activities is Friday, 7 April 2017.
