Glulam, or Glu-lamination in full, is the process or the products of such a process involving the gluing of pieces of timber into a larger dimensioned piece. Although the definition sounds simple, the resultant products can be spectacular in appearance and form. Glulam has been extensively used in many countries as components of buildings, especially when long spans are called for. |

The Malaysian Timber Council is organising a Technology Acquisition Mission to China for Malaysian woodworking companies. Scheduled for 14-20 March 2010, the Mission aims to provide exposure to Malaysian wood product manufacturers to the latest developments in woodworking and wood processing technologies. The Mission also provides opportunities for trade and joint ventures with Chinese companies.
