The Malaysian Wood Awards 2016 is a premier competition that is set to reward designers of magnificent timber structures that stand majestically on Malaysian soil showcasing the elegance, reliability and brilliance of timber.
A first-of-its-kind in the country, the Wood Awards aims to recognize, encourage and promote outstanding craftsmanship and installation using timber in the built form.
Organised by the Malaysian Timber Council in its effort to support excellence in architecture using the world's naturally renewable resource - WOOD - the Malaysian Wood Awards sets to crown the best and most innovative uses of timber in the country with a total prize money of RM150,000!

There is a special category for students as well. The Students’ Challenge is an excellent platform for architecture students to showcase their innovative, technical and artistic abilities. Undergraduates only need to submit their design plans with the approval of their lecturers to stand a chance to win a total of RM17,000.
