Best Presentation Award MIFF 2005

THE BEST PRESENTATION AWARD, A COLLABORATION BETWEEN MTC AND MIFF SON BHD, IS TO RECOGNISE EFFORTS THAT ENHANCE A COMPANY'S CORPORATE IMAGE BY WAY OF BOOTH AND PRODUCT PRESENTATIONS AT MIFF.

THE COMPETITION allows companies to participate according to their booth sizes. The three main categories are Category 1: more than 100m2, Category 2: 51-100m2 and Category 3: less than 50m2. All entries were evaluated based on several criteria including presentation, construction techniques and functionality.

Chief Judge, Mr. Eric Leong of Designcity Sdn Bhd, said most of the competitors in Category 1 have successfully integrated product presentation and visual merchandising in their booths compared to those in Category 2 and 3. "The overall booth presentations for MIFF 2005 were impressive and encouraging especially for Category 1 . Most of the booths in this category were not only selling products, but selling ideas and lifestyle as well," he said.

Mr. Leong added that several factors should be given due consideration in order to create a good presentation. The factors include visual merchandising, colour, lighting and ambience. "Don't let the visual merchandising be more outstanding than the product. Use the right colour to highlight the product, sufficient lighting for the booth and create an ambience that can stimulate a buying mood," he elaborated.
