
Carpentry, Joinery and Iron Mongery Works
The timber species used for the Works shall be as scheduled hereinafter,
unless otherwise specified or shown in the Drawings.
Timber described as group A, B, C or D timbers shall be taken to mean the
respective classifications set out in Malaysian Forest
Service Trade Leaflet No. 38 . Grading of the timber shall be in accordance
with the 1984 edition of the Malaysian Grading Rules.
All carpentry and joinery shall include for all necessary notchings, halvings,
morticing and tenoning, wedging, scarfing, dovetailing, sinking for heads of
bolts and nuts and trimming for opening.
All carpentry work shall be left with a sawn surface except where
particularly described to be wrot. All joinery shall be wrot and finished with
sand paper as required and all sizes stated are the finished sizes. Sizes for
carpentry and sizes for joinery shall be within the tolerances of
Timber Grade and Size Tolerances.
