Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) together with the Malaysian Furniture Promotion Council (MFPC) would be organising Malaysia’s participation in IMM Cologne 2013, an International Furniture Fair which would be held in Cologne, Germany from 14- 20 January 2013.

ABOUT THE FAIR

IMM Cologne is one of the largest furniture fair in the world. Held annually at the Koln Messe Exhibition Complex in Cologne, Germany over an area of 262,000 square metres, the fair showcases all range of furniture from high-end to basic furniture and furnishings items. The show also provides a platform for young designers to showcase their designs at D³. Over the years, the fair has emerged as the world’s leading trade fair for the latest designs and trends for the furniture and furnishing industries.

In total, 1,157 companies from 54 countries exhibited at imm cologne // LivingInteriors 2012. The total exhibition space occupied was 240,000 m² with 65 percent of exhibitors coming from outside Germany. The trade fair lured 115,000 visitors from 118 countries to Cologne especially those from the Russian Federation and Italy.

PARTICIPATION FEES

We are pleased to inform that MTC would be providing financial assistance of 50% for booth construction cost and sea-freight (one-way) as well as ground handling charges.

The participation fee after taking into account of the financial assistance is RM62,000 for a 34 sqm booth. For each additional 34 sqm, the cost would be RM92,000 (without financial assistance).

As space is limited, interested companies should submit the following documents to MTC latest by 16 August 2012:

1. Completed and signed Application Form;
2. Signed copy of the Terms and Conditions;
3. 50% deposit of  the Participation Fee; and
4. Two (2) sets of photographs of items to be exhibited (300dpi in jpeg).
